 I was born in Detroit, MI and relocated to Fort Smith, AR at 8 years old. Born third of four daughters, my family is extremely important to me. Although I grew up with arts and crafts, I did not begin to dedicatedly pursue fine art until I began college. Graduating from the School of Art at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville in May 2018, I received a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Art Education, emphasis in painting, with a minor in history. I completed an undergraduate thesis exploring how high school students understand their cultural identity. My research consisted of teaching a unit I created to students at Springdale High School in Springdale, AR and at I.P.S.T.D. Stendhal High School in Rome, Italy.
